PMI Budapest Chapter is pleased to announce that
the next PMPub will take place on 28th February (Tuesday), 2017,

The event’s topic is continued relevance of project management skills and methods in organisations now and in the future" where the participants will have the opportunity to overview related issues and questions.

The topic will be discussed with Nigel Killeen, PMP, ex-Business Solutions Design Manager at Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (CCHBC), who will share his experiences and thoughts about the role and importance of project and program management in organisations.

PMPub2802 version3

According to PMI’s 2016 Pulse of the Profession™, fewer than two thirds of projects fail to meet their original goals and project intent. More critical is the money that continues to be wasted when projects aren’t managed well- US$122 million wasted for every US$1 billion invested due to poor project performance, a 12 percent increase over last year). Never before has there been such an important place for the skills and practices learnt through the project management profession. No matter what role you play in the organization, knowledge of PM practices is an invaluable asset to bring to the organization, big or small.

At the PM pub we will discuss on a practical level some of the key themes that we all face everyday as practitioners. Crossing from traditional waterfall methodologies to agile, tailoring PM process for the organization of different readiness levels, managing and engaging distributed teams and promoting the role of the PMO and PM as change agents.

Our speaker, Nigel Killeen, has been working in large scale project implementations within the HR space for Coca-Cola Hellenic for 13+ years. Part process expert, part project manager, part portfolio manager he has had the unique advantage to see numerous project cycles completed from business case definition to operational reality and the evolution of project management and program management practices on a corporate scale across geographies and cultures.

He holds the view that Project Management methods and practices are essential and will only grow in importance for bringing structure, discipline and a whole vocabulary of terms and language to engage both project and operational people in the delivery of successful change initiatives in organisations, big or small.

We very much looking forward to an engaging and collaborative session.
