Because of the new edition of the PMBOK® Guide, changes will be made in the CAPM® exam as well. If you would like to take your exam before the changes, you are able to, until 20 May. And what makes it even easier is the fact that you can schedule and take it online! Do not miss your chance!
Important: Please review the minimum system requirements and run system test and exam simulation before scheduling for the exam. If you schedule an online proctored exam and your computer equipment does not meet the requirements, you are unlikely to receive a refund. If your computer does not meet these requirements, please schedule to take the exam at the test center.
The exam based on the PMBOK® Guide – Fifth Edition will be available until 20 May 2018. The new exam, based on the PMBOK® Guide – Sixth Edition, will launch on 21 May.
Please note: The last day to pay your exam fee for the current exam is 10 May and the last day to schedule or reschedule your exam is 13 May.
What is changing?
If you’re utilizing the PMBOK® Guide as a study tool for the exam, you can expect to find the following updates in the PMBOK® Guide – Sixth Edition:
- A new chapter on the role of the project manager that focuses on effective leadership — including necessary competencies, experience and skills
- Two renamed Knowledge Areas that more accurately reflect which elements can be managed and which cannot:

Resource Management (formerly known as Human Resource Management) - Every Knowledge Area now features four new sections:
